Nintendo previously confirmed that Wii would be discontinued in Japan, but the company has now revealed that Europe will no longer be receiving shipments either. A Nintendo representative told MCV UK, “Wii imports to Europe have been discontinued. However, there are still a variety of options for consumers to enjoy Wii games and the Wii gameplay experience.”
For those who want to enjoy Wii’s extensive library of software, Nintendo says Wii Mini is still an available option in Europe, and consumers can also buy Wii U to play older Wii titles in “Wii Mode”.
